Most Valued Customer!

I received the following in an e-mail from the ACE Hardware in Rogers City. It appears they noticed our visiting their fine establishment...at least once every single trip up to the house.

Dear David Wojtylko,

Thanks for being one of our most valued customers. We appreciate your business during this past year and look forward to helping you turn your next to-do list into a "to-done" list.

From your friends at Rogers City Ace Hdw

Even better, they've begun to remember me...asking about the house and how things are going.  So, a nice mix of technology and small town personal service.

"...turn your next to-do list into a to-done list."  Seriously?!  LOL

As promised...pics from December, 2009 visit

Our final day was pretty much spent relaxing, and watching football on the newly working TV.  As promised, here are some pics from the trip.

Shangri La, in all it's winter splendor!

Just a tad bit of snow.  We were actually hoping for more.

The new kitchen table.

Shampoo dispenser to de-clutter the shower.

How about that picture!  We bought a digital converter box to make the old analog TV work, and connected it to the outside antenna.  Six crystal clear channels and just in time for the Rose Bowl!

The antenna.

1970's vintage gas stove, which we're afraid to use.  Hence the new toaster oven.

We needed a clock for the living room.  Found this in the basement and cleaned it up.

It was a tad cold as we were heading back home this morning.  Yeah, but it's a dry cold...

The snow was drifting pretty high along the road.  There's a field here which we're normally able to see.

Had me wishing I could turn right around, go back to the house, and sit in front of the wood stove.
